At last night’s Board of Trustees meeting, Richland seated its new Student Trustee, Rhiannon Hartman. Rhiannon is excited about this new role and said, “What I’m most looking forward to as student trustee is being the voice for the student body. It’s important to have representatives that truly do represent the population, so a student representing students is phenomenal.”
Rhiannon is a Scherer Honors Scholar and grateful for the opportunity that scholarships have provided.
Rhiannon plans to pursue a career as a history teacher in the future and most recently was selected as a finalist in the Johns Hopkins Summer Research Experience, a highly selective ten-week paid program which introduces students to research techniques within the humanities.
