Richland Community College is highly experienced in hosting a variety of activities from conventions and trade shows to corporate meetings and events. We are recognized as a leader throughout the Midwest for customer service and expertise in meeting planning.

Campus facilities include two grand salons, a 325-seat auditorium, and several meeting and conference rooms in the Shilling Community Education Center. The National Sequestration Education Center (NSEC) has a with meeting room, classrooms and conference space. In addition,  we also have computer labs for your group meetings.

The College is also home to Progress City USA, which is the Midwest’s premier outdoor convention facility. This site encompasses more than 80 acres of exhibit space including indoor exhibition space spread across 12 buildings.

We look forward to customizing an event package that includes the use of technology, audio visual equipment and food services, whether you are expecting 20 to 200,000.

Shilling Community Education Center

Shilling Community Education Center is Richland’s premier special event facility. The building features numerous amenities with ample space to meet the needs of your event. The conference rooms may be customized to your style of event. The grand salon, which can be divided into two separate meeting spaces, can provide over 4,600 square feet of exhibit space. When used in conjunction with the lobby, the Shilling Community Education Center can accommodate up to 1,000 attendees.

Shilling Auditorium

The Shilling Community Education Center is home to the Shilling Auditorium. With seating for 325, this space provides the perfect venue for lectures, corporate events, and theatrical performances. The facility features fully integrated lighting and sound systems along with one of Decatur’s largest stages. Designed with the attendees’ perspective in mind, the Auditorium provides a tremendous experience for any type of presentation.

Center for Sustainability and Innovation (CSI)

The CSI features conference rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 50 attendees.

The National Sequestration Education Center

The National Sequestration Education Center (NSEC) is the local, regional, national, and international focal point for community outreach and academic programming for carbon capture utilization and storage. This facility features an exhibit hall, two classrooms, and laboratory space, along with an interactive visitors’ center.

Progress City USA

Progress City USA was developed as a 300-acre outdoor exposition center with the support of numerous state and local partners as the biennial home to the Farm Progress Show, the nation’s largest outdoor farm show. From the facility’s 80 acres of fenced and gated exhibit space to over five miles of paved roads, the site has been built with all the amenities expected in a small city.
