Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment at Richland Community College gives high school students the opportunity to challenge themselves academically, experience college-level coursework, and get a head start on their future. By enrolling in dual credit courses, students not only earn credits that count toward both their high school diploma and college degree, but they also gain valuable skills in time management, critical thinking, and independence.

Taking college courses while still in high school can provide a smoother transition to higher education, making students more confident and prepared for full-time college enrollment. Whether students plan to continue their education at Richland or transfer credits to a four-year university, Dual Credit offers an affordable and flexible way to take meaningful steps toward their goals. Classes are conveniently available at their high school, Richland’s main campus, and Heartland Technical Academy, allowing students to choose a learning environment that works best for them.
