At Richland, we are dedicated to fostering a thriving community and are eager to partner with organizations and individuals who share our vision. We invite you to submit requests for funding, volunteers, or donations to support initiatives that align with our goals and values. Each request is meticulously reviewed by our dedicated committee to ensure alignment with our college’s mission and strategic objectives.
Submission Process
To ensure a smooth and efficient review process, please complete the Community Support Request Form. Our committee will evaluate each request based on a set of well-defined criteria to determine its suitability for support.
Scoring Criteria
Your request will be evaluated based on the following five criteria:
- Serves at Least One County in District 537. Your initiative must benefit one or more counties within District 537, ensuring that our support has a direct and positive impact on the communities we serve.
- Tax-Exempt Organization Status: We prioritize supporting tax-exempt organizations to ensure transparency and accountability in the allocation of our resources.
- Alignment with Strategic Plan Goals: Your request should align with one or more of Richland Community College’s strategic plan goals. These goals guide our efforts to enhance educational opportunities, community engagement, and institutional effectiveness. Learn more about the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan here.
- Alignment with Core Values: Richland Community College upholds core values that define our culture and operations. Your request should resonate with these values of Commitment, Respect, Excellence, Accountability & Integrity, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).
- Provides a Community Benefit: The initiative should offer a clear and tangible benefit to the community, promoting well-being, education, and social or economic development.
By focusing on these key elements, we aim to support initiatives that not only align with our institutional goals but also significantly contribute to the well-being and development of our community.
Review Process
Our committee will thoroughly review all submissions to ensure they meet the outlined criteria. Decisions will be made based on the strength of the alignment with our goals and values and the potential community impact. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision within one month of submission.
