Uncover exciting opportunities in healthcare education at the Richland Community College EnRich Healthcare Informational Meeting this Saturday, March 26 at 11:30am in the Shilling Education Center. Join program representatives as they walk you through details about our services and programs, tuition assistance, scholarships, stipends, and much more.
According to Rebekah Zúñiga, director of the program, “We have an incredible amount of talent within the Decatur community and it’s exciting to be able to offer this program to assist in eliminating barriers and creating pathways to various healthcare positions. Through the collaboration between DMH and RCC, this intentional expansion of the healthcare programs is directly addressing the healthcare shortage of nurses and healthcare professionals.”
“This event will allow you to connect with us and allow us to have those conversations that address any barriers that might prohibit your success. There are an incredible number of scholarships available not only through EnRich but through Richland’s Foundation. As an institution, we want all our students to not only complete their education but continue to successful careers,” added Zúñiga.
Program participants not only experience substantial scholarship opportunities, but they will have the opportunity to work and learn on the Decatur Memorial Hospital campus with the pathway to become DMH colleagues upon program completion. In addition, the program will offer participants EnRich’s unique essential skills training and trauma informed practices, which help build a stronger and more resilient workforce and lead more individuals on the path to success.

About Richland’s EnRich Healthcare Program
The EnRich Healthcare program is a collaboration between Decatur Memorial Hospital and Richland Community College, designed to significantly increase the number of qualified students applying for enrollment into Richland’s healthcare professions programs. Thanks to a $3.2 million grant from the Decatur Memorial Foundation, the EnRich Healthcare program will expand Richland’s nursing and clinical programs over the next four years, as both organizations address the unprecedented shortage of nurses and other health professionals in the area. The grant is the largest ever awarded by Decatur Memorial Foundation.
