In order to make your  journey at Richland Community College easy we have created a New Student Checklist for you that can be found on our Apply & Enroll page.  Once you have been admitted, you will be able to move through the Registration Process and Advising process on this checklist.

A Student Success Coach will be assigned to you and will meet with you to help define your program of study, what courses are appropriate for you or to help you register for your courses.

What kind of student are you?

There is something for everyone at Richland.

  • Certificate or Degree Seeking Students – Students who have a high school diploma or GED and are interested in pursuing a degree or certificate from Richland Community College
  • Non-Degree Seeking Students – Students who may only want to take one or two credit courses at Richland Community College
  • Dual Credit – Students who are currently in high school but wish to take classes at Richland Community College for dual enrollment
  • Transfer Students interested in a degree or certificate program – Any students who has earned credit from another college or university who is interested in transferring that credit to Richland and earning a Richland degree or certificate.
  • Lifelong Learner – Any students looking to improve skills or explore a hobby by taking a non-credit course offered by Richland’s Continuing and Professional Education Division.
  • International Students – Students from other countries planning to attend Richland
  • Adult Education Students – Students who need to prepare for the High School Equivalency GED test or take basic education or English as a Second Language (ESL) courses
